Squeej (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the squeej.app platform, which custom apparel shops use to take orders, send quotes and mockups, and talk with their customers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. We wrote this in plain English on purpose.
We do not sell personal information. We do not run ads on Squeej, and we do not use your data to train AI models.
Running the platform means we can technically access what is stored on it. Our rule: we look at usage information — how many orders a shop has, when it was last active, payment totals — as part of operating the service. We look at the contents of orders, messages, artwork, and customer records only when a shop asks us for help, when we need to investigate a security or abuse problem, or when the law requires it. When we view a shop’s dashboard for support, that access is time-limited and logged.
Some of that operating work is done with the help of AI-assisted tools from commercial providers — for example checking that the platform is healthy, tracking down a bug, or drafting an answer to a support question. Those tools see only the information the task needs, usually counts and totals rather than the contents of orders or messages. The providers we use are not permitted to use that information to train their models, and the tools never act on a shop’s account on their own: they do not send email, change orders, or move money.
We use the following services to operate Squeej. Each handles data only as needed to do its job:
A shop can also connect tools under its own accounts — for example a shipping-label service or an artwork vectorizing service. When a shop uses one, the information needed for that task (such as a shipping address or an artwork file) is sent to that service under the shop’s account with it.
Squeej's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically: we read the full contents of an email thread only after you attach it to an order. To help you find the right conversation, we search your connected mailbox for messages exchanged with a given customer (by their name, email address, or the conversation’s subject line) and show only the subject, sender, and date — never the message body — until you attach a thread to an order. We use Gmail access to send order-related email on your behalf, sync those order conversations into your Squeej dashboard, and label and watch order threads so replies appear in real time. We never scrape or store your general inbox. We do not use Gmail data for advertising, do not sell it, do not use it to train AI models, and do not allow humans to read it except with your permission (for example, when you ask us for help with a specific order), for security purposes, or where required by law.
We apply the same rules to mailboxes connected through Microsoft Outlook.
Optional assistant (Anthropic). A shop can connect its own Anthropic API key to turn on a Claude assistant in its dashboard. It is off unless the shop turns it on. When the shop uses it, the order details and message text it looks up are sent to Anthropic under the shop’s own account, governed by Anthropic’s commercial terms (which do not permit training on that data). The assistant proposes changes; a person at the shop confirms each one. Squeej does not read those conversations.
We do not use any other advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
While a shop is on Squeej, its orders, customer records, messages, and artwork are kept indefinitely so the shop has a complete history of its business.
When a shop owner deletes their shop, it goes offline immediately and its mailbox connection is revoked. We hold the data for 30 days in case the deletion was a mistake, and then permanently delete the shop along with its orders, customer records, messages, and artwork. Copies may remain in routine backups for a short period afterward, and we keep what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
If you run a shop, you can:
If you are a customer of a shop that uses Squeej, contact that shop to see, correct, or remove your information — it is their customer record, and they know what they are required to keep. We will help the shop carry out your request. If you cannot reach the shop, email us.
For anything else, email us at admin@squeej.ai.
If Squeej is sold, merged, or its business is transferred to another company, the information we hold transfers with it so the service can keep running. The new owner must honor this policy, and we will notify shops before their information becomes subject to a different one.
Squeej is not intended for anyone under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), signed sign-in sessions, optional two-step verification for shop owners, and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the platform.
